Autumn Colour of choice

Revlon have come out with their autumn collection for quite a while and I was fairly slow to get on top of this. However I have to admit, being a woman of colour I find it very hard with collections as they rarely cater for women of colour.

However one thing that I did pick out whilst in Superdrug the other day was their black and purple facets of Fuchsia Nail Enamel. It is lots of sequins and glitter and is fairly hard to put on, but with termination it does pay off once you have 2-3 coats on. Definitely a good buy for this autumn, matching with the berry reds and purples that we are seeing.

Sorry for being M.I.A

Been slightly busy with a few project recently, nothing beauty related so i won't bore you. I have been shopping so I have a few things to review, but the big thing I have been battling with at the minute is A) Finding a job, B) My weight gain and lastly C) MY WEIGHT GAIN!!!!!

I am a new non-smoker, and have been since Feb this year. No cravings, no dying for a fag; just my eating habits has stayed the same, which trust me is  not a good thing. Not only did my weight gain start when I quit smoking but also when I started driving, about two years ago. So from my petite 7 and a half stone to a muchhhhh heavier number, and the breaking point was when I had to rip a dress literally from my body. NO JOKE.

So my new focus whilst looking for a job is exercise, exercise, exercise. The Wii is my new my best friend.

Favourites for the month on September

Malteasers- not in keeping with my new healthy self but what the heck.
MAC Studio Fix powder
Embrollise Face cream
Embrollise cleansing Soap Free bar
Clarasonic Mia ( pink one donates money for cancer charity)
Origins Spot Remover
24/7 urban decay in black liner
Maybelline Gel liner

Be back to review my new buys which include swatches of the Kate Moss Lippies from Rimmel.

New Sleek Nude Collection

As you do when your bored, I was browsing through my local superdrug looking for an amazing find or  deal when I came across this gorgeous palette that I couldn't say no to. Its the Nude Collection Au naturel. Sleek describe it on their website as
"wraps up your autumn beauty look in one warm, earthy and wearable collection. The Au Naturel i-Divine provides an array of matte and pearlescent eye shadows providing a subtle yet contoured effect for day, that can be built up for a smoky glamorous effect using velvety browns and shimmering fawns".

I have always loved these cheap but amazingly pigmented palettes and this has not failed to impress with its aray of unique colours. Some colours could be compared to Urban Decays Naked Palette and a much cheaper alternative. I think this will be great for work although I still think no palette arrangements compare to the Naked. Going from the lightest on the top left the 12 name are:

Top row              Bottom row
1.Nougat            7.Conker
2.Bubuck           8.Moss
3.Cappaccino     9.Bark
4. Honeycomb  10.Mineral Earth
5.Toast              11.Regal
6.Taupe             12. Noir

Check online or in your nearest Superdrug for this great staple for Autumn and Winter.

I can, therefore I am!!!

I can finally blog, therefore here I am!!

I have tried to upkeep this blog for a long time, and (to be completely honest) I was rubbish at it. I have come to a point where I can so I am and will, hence the title of the post.

SKIP BORING PART ---> Bla Bla Bla

I have been an avid fan of the Pixiwoo sisters. I think they say it how it is with no bullSh*t!!!! So when it comes to reccomendations on skin care, I do try products they have suggested. One product in particular that I want to WOO WOO about is the Embryolisse -Lait Creme Concentrenre. This stuff is amazing.

I have been having issues with my skin for a little while where at first it was completely bone dry and flacky to pretty normal with acne breakouts and feeling a bit greasy. One aspect that I have changed in my lifestlyle is the fact that I no longer smoke. Getting all the crap out of my system from stupid smelly cigs showed on my face and the one thing that I noticed helped my transition from dry to greasy was this amazing cream.

It has a milky (not drippy) consistency that feels like silk on your skin. I have tried many prescription, high end and drugstore moisturisers and I will never go back from using this.

I bought the 75ml 2.6 fl.oz, tube and it lasted about three months, during the summer months you dont need much, however I am anticipating using up alot more come autumn (fall) and winter.

I have also just purchased the gentle cleansing bar- with no soap. So will test that out with another joy and can't live without product my Clarasonic Mia.

The company I used is 'Coco Beau'. They beautifully wrapped and bubble wrapped my products and delivery was really quick. Standard Delivery charge of £3.95. Coco Beau LINK
